Thanks for writing this, it clarifies a lot. The AI gut microbes bit is truly fascinating, makes you wonder what else our bodies are secrelty chatting away about. What are the biggest ethical hurdels for widespread adoption of this predictive health AI? Your insights are always appreciated.

You’re welcome! And thanks for taking the time to comment. I think the major ethical question in prevention is still '“who pays?” The grey area between a paid-for-by-the-system-screening-programme and self-pay prevention tools/programmes, is huge, and, currently, for anything that isn’t a screening programme, it’s paid for by you (or an employer/insurer if you’re lucky). The business models don’t seem to be there for true prevention to be paid for by anyone other than us as consumers. Ethically, that sucks because only those with certain socioeconomic status can afford access. If you’re interested, there’s a good report by the Health Foundation called “Health inequalities in 2040” to check out.
