💧 Jude secures £2 million to bring bladder care into the mainstream - Bladder care startup Jude is highlighting how women’s health is much much more than just periods and menopause.
🍄 LifeMine Therapeutics banks $175M for fungi-powered medicines - Fungi could be considered a forgotten fountain of drug discovery. GlaxoSmithKline definitely agrees - they’ve partnered with the US startup and are hoping to find a diamond in the rough.
🩺 The Check Up starring Google Health - At its second annual “The Check Up” event, Google showed off its latest bells and whistles. Hint… Dr Google is going to start bombarding you with recommendations for doctors in your area.
📚 UK’s first digital health training programme launches for NHS frontline staff - Developed by ORCHA and the NHS, the Digital Health Academy will help to upskill frontline workers on their digital health literacy.
🐙 ‘Tentacle Robots’ delve deep - Generally speaking, you don't want tiny magnetic tentacle robots inside your lungs but this is a good thing (we promise?). Researchers at the University of Leeds have created the device allowing clinicians to investigate the deepest and darkest corners of the lungs.
